we had a nice last trip to oklahoma before baby arrives. the daffodils were blooming, the wheat is lush and green and becky and i were dreaming up uses for old barn wood :) i included the middle picture because to me it looks like 2 emily's-

happy 10
it has been 10 years. 10 years since bobby and i got married.
since i met him i have known he was the one. my match. i remember feeling so strongly about his goodness. his trustworthiness. his loyalty. his funness :) i knew he would make a wonderful husband and an amazing dad. he has lived up all of these expectations and has surpassed even my initial impressions. he always strives to do what is right. he always wants me to be happy. he is always there for me and helps me see his vision of how to make it through (in the tough spots). he supports my dreams and tolerates all my various sensitivities. i could fill pages with his skills as a dad-he gives his all to make our lives better.
we have had a very full 10 years. 3 (almost 4) kids. 2 (almost 3) intense house remodeling projects. living without a house with 2 kids under 2. a new business. i have several sayings up around the house right now-one of my favorites is 'we can do hard things'. i think our motto includes never doing things the easy way-and although it makes for challenging moments it is very satisfying to know that we can do it. we plunge forward into new adventures and new challenges because we can trust in each other. we know we can handle it.
thank you bobby for an incredible 10 years-i love you!

roof, windows and emily's tooth
watching the progress on the house has been thrilling. the shell is complete-the shingles should be going on this weekend. now we come to the point of waiting for the plumber, electrician and heating and air professionals to do their work.
the girls had fun climbing in and out through the windows
those windows are now installed in their new location and we have a beautiful piece of plywood covering the hole :)
this is the 3rd of the 3 windows we bought on craigslist last year. the other 2 were installed in the garage room.
the 36" door is propped open until the hardware is installed. the wind has been so fierce the workers were afraid the door would be blown off it's hinges.
and in other very important events...emily has lost her 1st tooth. she was more excited than i would have expected-it was so fun to see her so smiley.

a winter tent
it was 70 degrees on thursday. crazy lovely-and an invitation for some fun. i was supposed to have a photo shoot with 2 little boys-so anneliese and i set up a tent in the meadow. the photo shoot fell through at the last minute-so when grant and emily got off the bus we drove up and had some fun of our own.
